Obesity is Directly Linked to Shortened Life Span

A recent study released by researchers at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine shows that obesity appears to shorten life expectancy. The Johns Hopkins study shows that white women aged 20 to 30 with a body-mass index (BMI) greater than 45 were estimated to have a life span 8 years shorter than women with a BMI of 23-25. This study demonstrates the urgent need for a shift in the eating habits of the American public.
