During the holidays and other times of excessive eating life seems to turn upside down. Stress increases due to schedule changes, financial pressures, demands on your time, family obligations and travel. One of the first things to go is your regular exercise routine. But that’s the one thing that’s going to help you cope with the the added stress and keep your weight in the losing column. So, even if your exercise routine changes, don’t stop moving altogether. Get out and walk with a friend. Jump on the stationary bike , the treadmill or the mini-trampoline at home. Stop at the gym between errands. If you know you’re going to a party that day – take the time to exercise. The exercise will allow you to have a few more carbs. Remember 79.5% of the carbs you eat go to your muscles. With exercise your body will burn the carbs for energy, without any downside.
