Motivate Yourself

Believing is Seeing

Fran Spelgatti

If you are reading this newsletter, it is quite possible you have decided to improve something about yourself. Perhaps you would like to change your health, how you look or a habit you have. Throughout the Positive Changes system, you will hear incredible stories of people doing just that. If this has not happened for you, you may be wondering if it will. The beautiful thing about being human is that we all operate at different speeds and levels. For example, imagine that you and I both picked up a rock with the goal of splitting our chosen rock in half. We may not be able to tell which of us would first split our rock. However, we can be sure that, with the right amount of strikes with a hammer and at the right angle and point of impact, the rock will crack. While your rock may take only one strike to break in two, it may take me more attempts before I have the same success.

At Positive Changes, we have clients who have positive suggestions go into their “other-than-conscious” mind instantly during their first session. They then act upon those positive suggestions, as if magically. Their changes could be to drink more water, to eat more slowly or to remember to forget the habit of smoking cigarettes. There is one small difference between these people and those that need a few more “strikes of the hammer.” Those who need that extra work think that seeing is believing. On the other hand, the successful people know that believing is seeing! Do you think you are critical of yourself? If so, it can be a great advantage to you in many ways, such as in business. However, it can also have its drawbacks when it comes to changing habits and behaviors. If a critically-minded person doesn’t see results in a certain amount of time -- usually a short amount of time -- it becomes hard for them to believe that success is at hand. If you are critically-minded, you have probably already worked out a number of scenarios concerning what you just read! So, does the statement seeing is believing fit how your mind works?

The believing is seeing people tend to create changes in their minds during the hypnosis sessions and accelerations. They then replay those changes in their lives. For them, even the slightest change is a sign of success. They give it energy and allow it to strengthen. Internal changes come first, with external changes being the result!

Imagine a farmer who is greatly dedicated to growing a new crop in his field. He takes great care in planting the seeds, perfectly spaced and at the correct depth in the soil. He ensures that they get the correct amount of sunlight and water. Every morning he wakes up at the crack of dawn, eagerly runs out to the field and scratches away the dirt to see if the seeds are growing. How successful will this farmer be if he consistently interferes with the growth process of the seeds?

When a positive environment is consistently presented without interference, incredible results occur. So what would happen in your life if you became a believing is seeing person?
