Love is in the Air

The approach of Valentine’s Day brings with it thoughts of how we can best express our love to others. Seldom, however, do we think about how we can better love ourselves. Yet self-love is essential if we are to provide selfless, unconditional love to anyone else.

So what about you? Do you love yourself without reservation?

If you had to think about your answer for even a moment, then learning to love yourself should be a goal you set for yourself as you go through your Positive Changes program.

Start by realizing that love is a verb; it is an action word. It implies behaviors that demonstrate how much you care. This might include regular exercise, choosing nourishing foods, or taking the time to listen to your hypnosis processes.

Extreme self-sacrifice is not loving yourself and is not helpful to others. When you work excessively or put the needs of others ahead of your own, you are doing more harm than good. Instead, consider how you can be more accepting and tolerant of your limitations. Rather than focusing on your failures, take action toward self-improvement. As a Positive Changes client, take responsibility for your success.

Loving yourself means that you work towards improvement rather than perfection, making the decision for health one bite at a time, or one smoke-free breath at a time.

Our founder, Dr. Patrick Porter, says, “there are no mistakes in life, only feedback.” Listen carefully to the feedback. Keep learning, growing, improving, and loving yourself and others in the process. When you learn to love yourself as if you have never failed and love others as if they cannot fail, you will find joy in each and every day.

J. Fulop before photo

"I lost 95 lbs. and 15 inches"

J. Fulop after photoMy name is J. Csaba Fulop and I'm a hair designer from Bellevue, Washington. I was overweight for years. I was to the point where I just wasn't happy with how I was feeling. I tried everything throughout my life, just to lose a couple of pounds. But you know what? Every program I was on failed to do one thing' change my relationship with food. Hypnosis has done that for me. I still like the taste of food, but I no longer need it as a diversion. Because of those changes I made with Positive Changes, I lost 95 lbs. and 15 inches in 16 months. I feel good! My doctor is so impressed, he's recommended Positive Changes to some of his other patients. I'm ecstatic about this investment. There's no price on health, but this is the best and the cheapest program you could ever join.

I was overweight for close to 20 years. I felt out of control toward the end, and that's when I realized I needed to do something important for myself. My back, knees and feet were killing me. I think little things like that accumulate in your life. Finally, one day, they stare you in the face, and you look back and say, 'You gotta do something. As I said, I tried everything. I tried the point system. I did the shakes and bars, but I thought they were horrible.  continue   or   read more success stories here

Exercise With Ease

Use Exercise to Boost Your Brain Power

By Michael J. Porter, CHT.

It is possible that being in shape might translate to even greater mental benefits, such as increased intelligence, creativity, memory, or reasoning ability?  Scientists have long known that laboratory animals that run mazes and perform tricky acrobatics seem to grow smarter over time. But is the mental stimulation or the physical exercise the reason? For years, no one could answer that question. Now, however, the picture is beginning to clear.1 ...   read more
